Sky Holds the Sun is my new adventure tour company, travel shop, and Substack.

Travel as I see it is a pathway deeper into ourselves, lost bohemias, lush other worlds, ecstacy and wisdom. Nature. Catharsis. The Sublime.

Both the tours and travel shop are on the horizon for late 2026/27.

My Sky Holds the Sun Substack is now active. There, I write about the high/low art of travel (where to stay, hidden places, practical knowledge, etc.) along with why we seek out travel as a portal to those ethereal other worlds, both internal and external.

I’ll be sharing a lifetime of personal travel stories, from childhood adventures with my family to nineties backpacking escapades to those serendipitous, life-changing events that come with getting lost in the world — all while providing regular updates to my first, one-of-a-kind tour offerings, what I’m calling Hop On Tours (scroll down to find out more).

My first offering is the SKY HOLDS THE SUN “Hop On” Tour. The premise: view one of my future itineraries such as the one listed below, email to begin a conversation about “hopping on” the trip, then join me and a small group of fellow travelers for an adventure extraordinaire.

For a base price, I’ll be your guide, your de facto Sherpa, your cicerone, your handler, your insightful organizer.

Hop On Tours are perfect if you possess a daring and curious spirit but would prefer to travel alongside a confident and experienced traveler, are open to meeting new and interesting people and would rather not spend a small fortune to experience the world in an insular bubble.

Each Hop On offering will include a vibrant itinerary that allows for and encourages spontaneity. Each will reflect my lifetime of experience as a traveler. Each will organically blend urban stimuli, lush Nature, gorgeous guesthouses, quietude, history, art, music and getting back to basics as a proud and active citizen of an ever-changing world.

Each Hop On Your will be customizable based on my dates and yours, travel preferences and objectives. “Hop On” for five days in India or ten in Africa. See the world not in a passing blur but with intoxicating lucidity.
